I recently noticed the same thing happening in three different settings: at a nice restaurant last weekend with friends, at Q’doba for lunch by myself yesterday, and at a coffee shop with a friend…one person at a table being held hostage by another motor mouth across the table.
Every leader seeks to be an effective communicator – but so few really are. We don’t lack for communication in our day and age. If anything, all of our communication is so deafening we can’t actually hear anything.
You’ve heard it before “Defense wins championships.” Well, technically this isn’t true. I recently read an article about a classic state basketball championship from the 1940s. The final score was 2-0. The team that won this championship didn’t have the best defense, they had the best offense.
